April 1, 2013

There was nothing. Not a thing, a hint, a suggestion that the coming together of Jimmy and Hannah hadn’t been divinely designed before they were even born. The outside breeze carried heavenly spring smells with it, swirling about, as if slightly altering everything it touched. Before Hannah’s turn for makeup, she sat to read through the thoughts, encouragements, and blessings from the women who know and love her most. It was surreal, as all wedding mornings are in a way, but her mind and heart were set on Jimmy. And she couldn’t see him quickly enough. With tear-filled eyes, the girls gathered around to watch the youngest of five transform into a breathtaking bride. It was almost in unison that Hannah’s sisters and friends gasped. She couldn’t have been more delicately stunning dressed in white.

Jimmy, who had been sick for days leading up to the wedding, was all smiles and excitement that morning as he and the guys prepared for the day. He also quickly realized the perks of groom-dom as he was offered a seat in a Lamborghini parked out front. From start to finish, Jimmy’s concern was his darling girl, and  every. single. person. around him. He constantly went out of his way to make sure Hannah was without need, and guest by guest, would constantly look for ways to serve them. It’s who he is, to the core. Outward focused, genuinely loving, and compassionate. Their love is so fun and sincere that you can’t help but be mesmerized by it. And that’s exactly what their day was. Mesmerizing.

Jimmy + Hannah : We can’t tell you enough how much we love the two of you and are rooting for everything you pursue in life. Your family and friends were beyond gracious, and how you’ve treated us is such a reflection of God’s love. Thank you for letting us be part of a marriage that will change the course of history. We love you!!!

SO handsome!!

There is nothing sweeter than watching a groom completely melt the second he sees his bride.

Hannah. You are absolutely, drop-dead, stunningly gorgeous.

As expected, we enjoyed tons of laughs before the ceremony.

What an amazing and good looking wedding party!! If I had worn socks, you guys would have rocked them off.

Couldn’t resist sharing a shot of Ashley, who’s always behind the scenes on a wedding day!

The ceremony was perfect, and the first to be held at Scottsdale Bible’s newest campus.

Are you ready to DIE with detail envy?!

The florals by Petal Pushers were absolutely unreal!!!

Classic Cakes and Confections did a phenomenal job with the styling of this masterpiece!

Hannah and Jimmy are so naturally perfect together. I can’t imagine them apart!

The sun set over their incredible light tent, and guests could enjoy the evening under the moon and stars!

The was SUCH a creative concept and it was beauuuutifully executed by Ashley.

New favorite way to end the best night ever? Confetti.

XOXO!!

The amount of talent and care that went into this day is so overwhelming! THANK YOU to every vendor who contributed to creating such a beautiful and memorable wedding. MWAAAAH!

Isn’t it funny to think you may have passed your future spouse hundreds of times, without ever giving it a second thought? Or maybe you were best friends and shared your dating chronicles over the phone to the last person you’d ever date. For Krystal and Chris, they were both. First, strangers. Then, friends. They had tried the dating thing, but the timing wasn’t right. So after reconnecting years later, it didn’t take long at all to see how wonderful they were together. First, long distance. Then, he moved. Chris moved from Tennessee to be with Krystal in Phoenix. It was here he asked her to be his forever.

Krystal’s an artist. She loves to create, and is such a darling woman to be around. She’s also launching her photography business! Chris is a business brain. He thinks logically and systematically, but holds his own as a creative and musician. They cuddle. They golf. They dine. They’re simply, adorable.

I love these images, almost as much as I love them. Krys + Chris :: We are SO thankful to have you in our life, and know that as changes and turns come into your path, you are so loved in each others arms. I’m so excited for you to be muuuurried!!

HUGE smooches to the team that always makes magic :: DryBar, Alex of AVE Styles, and Stephanie of SN Makeup! You make my heart sing.

SO. Flippin. HOT!

That HAIR!

Chris plays the drums, and from this photo, I’s say he’s touring with Mumford & Sons. Am I right?

Krystaaaaaaal!! HOW are you so gorgeous?!

The skirt is from Banana Republic. You’re welcome.

I pretty much said everything you should never say to a guy. My list included ‘dream curls’.

Precious!

Laughed ourselves into the desert.

I’m just smitten.

XOXO!

Marcus and I fervently practice intentionality in life and work, so naturally this principle applies to the team we’ve created behind GMP. You’ve listened to me brag about Alex of AVE Styles and what a tremendous resource she is for our couples, so today, I’d like to introduce the wonderful Stephanie Neiheisel of SN Makeup! She makes pretty, preeeeetty.

Stephanie does an incredible job pulling a look together and accentuating the amazing women we’re blessed to photograph. As a photographer, we see firsthand the massive role makeup plays in the overall refinement and quality of an image. Knowing our couples are in the best possible care puts us at ease and makes our fabulous clients look and feel even more fabulous! I’d love to keep our ladies a secret, but I’d be depriving the world of too much talent.

I loooove that Stephanie is so passionate about what she does. She’s an excellent teacher and uses true artistry with makeup. Love, love, love.

For someone typically behind the lens, she’s lookin quite smashing in front of it. Be sure to connect with Stephanie on all her makeup adventures.

XOXO!
