She couldn’t stop. Her lips permanently curled, Lillian squeezed us the morning after our arrival. She just couldn’t. Every emotion inside was clearly worn through her smile. We chatted over breakfast in the beautiful yard of Felipe’s grandparents. Lush, green hills created our backdrop, with a distant body of water filling the gaps. They were radiant. Together, they were radiant.
Lillian is a wildly talented musician, with the humblest of hearts. She also happens to be breathtakingly gorgeous. Literally. Felipe is brilliant and strong. Brilliant as in, he has more degrees than my neighborhood has cars… or something like that. His voice holds such an authority. An authority that cares deeply for Lillian’s gentle soul. Every time their eyes locked, it was almost as if everyone around could tangibly feel how in love they are.
We stepped in, one-by-one, to the vehicle that drove us up hills, around bends, and at last, through the gates of the enchanting Pueblo Viejo. The couple prepared every detail themselves, and flawlessly brought to life their destination wedding in Managua, Nicaragua; the home of Felipe’s family. Spanish carried through the air as the sky fell gray and eventually let loose a relentless rain. I could not have been more impressed by Lillian and her calm spirit. She knew no matter the weather, her husband was waiting at the end of the aisle. She was a dream.
Lillian and Felipe :: God has brought two incredible people together for His glory. I’m SO thankful we were able to be part of your beginning. We were blown away by the amazing friends you’ve chosen to surround yourselves with, and the warm and open family that took us in. Raising our glasses to you…
