I haven’t blogged in for-eeeever. So this morning, while forcing myself to sit still and write, I thought about what I’d like to share. Every form of thought and twitch in my bones led me to the only thing that’s actually worth talking about … well, CHRISTMAS of course!! I know, I knooooow, Thanksgiving is tomorrow. But really… isn’t that holiday just in preparation for what’s to come? Who’s with me?!
My obnoxious tweets say the same thing over and over. The only thing on my mind is Christmas + all things related: ie chocolate, fireplaces, footy pajamas, classic holiday tunes, high boots, red nail polish, and the smell of baking. In NY, it’s cold and dark and everyone can snuggle by a fire with hot chocolate in hand… here, I have to shut the blinds and open the windows for the illusion of a cold, wintery day. I’m tickled pink because in just a few weeks, we’ll be making the pilgrimage back East for weeks of family, food, and cold. I’ve been mentally preparing Paisley for the tundra that lies ahead. Today was brisk, so we broke out the winter gear…
GOODNESS, she’s so cute!!
Yesterday, Verity asked what my favorite Christmas tradition was after the 13th run of “Let it Snow” on iTunes repeat. My answer was Christmas Eve. It’s ALWAYS been a big production in the Meola household – with loads of family, a blazing fire, seven-course meals, Italian music, and cuddling together with sweets. We fall into a deep coma, and hit round two on Christmas day! It’s magical… ::sigh::
In the spirit of GIVING (I’m gonna go ahead and skip over thanks), I’d love to set this celebration off right with a giveaway!! Wahoo!
