This is for my homegirls planning their big day! Or not. I mean… who doesn’t want to get lost in pretty pictures of amazing weddings? The excitement that follows an engagement is absolutely unmatched. BUT, the long list of choices to follow can make this whole “wedding” thing a fright.
There is SO much planning that goes into a wedding day – even for super small, cozy affairs. And with that planning comes great expense.
So here’s what I think. DREAM. For some, that’s 600 guests with a reception in the Royal Palace. For others, it’s 15 of their closest family and friends on an island. Whichever end of the spectrum you’re on, allow yourself to dream.
From your big plans, begin to prioritize the elements that are most important to you. Then, when you establish a budget, you’ll know what aspects of your day are non-negotiable. Budgets can be a slap to your dreams, BUT that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice everything! Be resourceful! Get creative, let your friends and family bless you in ways they can, and put in the extra work.
